At FlameTree, we support both local and overseas missions.
Here is the valuable work of some of our local partners.
Scripture Union Queensland’s (SU QLD) vision is to see each child and young person connected and supported in community, serving others, and experiencing fullness of life.
Our monthly support to SU QLD helps chaplaincy services in 5 local state schools as they provide spiritual and emotional support to the school community.
We believe that all our young people deserve the chance to grow in their potential irrespective of social or financial demographics. Unfortunately we see increasing numbers of young people displaying symptoms of high anxiety, stress and depression, leading to social isolation, anti-social behaviour, and suicide.
The Potential Project, delivered over 8 weeks, is transforming our youth on the Sunshine Coast by engaging our young people to experience what it's like to grow in values and increasing potential, face their obstacles, and achieve their very best.
The Shack Community Centre was pioneered in the year 2002. The purpose was to provide for the needs and concerns of our diverse community. The centre soon became well established as a vital thread in the fabric of Nambour and the surrounding district. Many people continue to acknowledge and appreciate the important role The Shack Community Centre plays.
We have outgrown our facilities - our children’s ministries are overflowing and our worship gatherings are consistently full. As well as attending to existing maintenance needs, we believe God is leading us into a season of expansion.
That every generation, may hope in God.
